Kaylin is a Middle Eastern and fusion dancer who is interested in and has studied a variety of bellydance styles. As a soloist, she specializes in Raks Sharqi and American Style Bellydance, and strives to embody the thrilling power and subtlety of Middle Eastern music. She has taught in a variety of locations throughout the Greater Boston area, including Worcester colleges, senior centers, continuing education programs, and local dance studios. Her study of Middle Eastern Dance has involved workshops with various world renowned professionals including Jillina, Yousry Sharif,  Yasmina Ramzy, Bozenka, Hadia, Mohamed Shahin, and Karim Nagi. She also completed Tamalyn Dallal’s Teacher’s Intensive in New York in 2012 and completed a dance minor at Mount Holyoke College. More recently she completed a Dance Science and Education Masters at the University of Edinburgh. Her primary goals as an instructor are to increase her students’ body awareness and self-confidence, giving them the ability to access different styles of instruction, movement, and expression in Middle Eastern dance. She performs regularly in Boston area restaurants, shows, private events, and festivals, and occasionally performs as part of the local dance trio Troupe Moirae, which specializes in fusion styles of bellydance.
